Objective:
1. To make aware of Government's initiatives for promoting use of drone for agriculture.
2. To identify the strengths and explore opportunities for enhancing the applications of drones for agriculture.
3. To explore the solutions to overcome the challenges and current limitations of using drones for agriculture.
4. To explore the possibilities of making drone technology available to the farmers at affordable cost.
Pre Event Description :
Drone has huge potential and its use in agriculture can ignite a big change in improving the efficiency of agriculture. As a result, the Governments of India and Maharashtra have promoted the use of drones in agriculture. Hence this is the most fitting time to brainstorm various facets of the applications of drones for agriculture; and simultaneously make aware different stakeholders about the opportunities and challenges of use of drones for agriculture. Keeping this in view, one day Conference on “Drones for Agriculture” is being jointly organized by Agrovision Foundation, Nagpur and Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri (under Centre for Advanced Agricultural Science and Technology on Climate Smart Agriculture and Water Management, an ICAR-National Agricultural Higher Education Project).
